UCAS Progress student applications are now open for Post 16 pathways.  Please speak to your Personal Progress Tutor or CareersInc Adviser.  The Careers Adviser is available on Tuesdays in the Careers Room within the Library.

This is the most important year of your life so far! The qualifications you get will affect what you do with your future.

Had any work experience? If you want help finding a part-time job – come and see the Careers Adviser.

Have you thought about volunteering? This can look good on your CV or an application form.

Need ideas?

  • Try using JED – it will help you think about new careers or confirm the ideas you have, speak to your Careers Adviser to find out more.
  •  Go to UCAS Progress to find out more about courses and training in school and elsewhere
  • Sixth forms and colleges have closing dates – make sure you don’t miss them by checking with your careers adviser.

Definitely thinking about work/apprenticeships?

  • Make sure you have a good CV. Find out what a covering letter is - you will be asked for one!

  •  Look for vacancies on
  • Get help with job searches from your careers adviser
