25 students from Year 11 enjoyed a trip to Edge Hill University this week, where they spent the morning working with University students currently training to be Maths teachers. Lots of fun activities had been planned by the student teachers; mathematical treasure hunts, finding the volume and area of shapes as well as planning a dinner party using ratio. Year 11 were then treated to a free lunch by the University and given a tour of the campus by student ambassadors. It was a great day out and we look forward to welcoming the student teachers to Manor Croft in May when they will travel over to help with GCSE revision. Thank you to Edge Hill!
