Careers Week: A Week of Opportunities

Week commencing 24th March, Manor Croft Academy hosted an exciting and informative Careers Week, designed to inspire and educate students about various career paths. The week featured a variety of engaging activities and guest speakers.

One of the highlights was a visit from Medical Mavericks, who brought in practical healthcare equipment to showcase exciting careers in the medical field. Students had the chance to experience hands-on demonstrations and learn more about the diverse roles within healthcare.

Another standout event was the visit from Adam and Liam, two pilots from TUI, who shared their journey and insights into the aviation industry. Their session provided students with a unique opportunity to learn about careers in aviation and the skills needed to succeed in this dynamic field.

The week also featured an Apprenticeship Workshop, where students were able to debunk common myths surrounding apprenticeships. This session helped students understand the real benefits and opportunities available through apprenticeship programs.

In addition, students had the opportunity to engage in practical sessions with a Personal Trainer during PE lessons. These sessions allowed students to explore careers in fitness and personal training, gaining insight into the skills and dedication required to succeed in this industry.

Finally, there was an informative talk about college options, guiding students through the different post-16 pathways and helping them make informed decisions about their futures.
