Campaign for Change

On Wednesday 2nd November, Year 8 listened to a presentation delivered by Rachael Dodgson, a Parliamentary Outreach Officer.

The session focused on developing students’ understanding of democracy and Parliament, the roles of the House of Commons and the House of Lords and ways in which young people can become actively involved with decision making processes.

8RG then had the opportunity to take part in a ‘Campaign for Change’ workshop where they gained knowledge and skills in how to effectively campaign; looked at changes from historical campaigns and then designed their own campaigns around issues relevant to them.
