FireFit Programme

Our group had an unforgettable experience at Dewsbury Fire Station, taking part in the exciting and educational FireFit programme. From handling real fire hoses to climbing ladders, they got a hands-on look at what it’s like to be a firefighter.

Under the guidance of the station’s expert crew, the students explored the challenges of putting out fires and learned about the strength, teamwork, and quick thinking required in emergency situations. Climbing the training platforms and using the powerful hoses gave everyone a new appreciation for the demanding work firefighters do every day.

The visit was not only fun but also inspiring, offering valuable insights into fire safety and the incredible role of our local fire service. Huge thanks to the Dewsbury Fire Station team for their warm welcome and for giving the students a glimpse into their vital work.
