Great Big Dance Off Competition

On Monday 21st March 2022, MCA Dance team competed at the ‘Great Big Dance Off’ at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax. This was an amazing opportunity for the students to represent Manor Croft Academy as part of a National Schools event.

Our Year 7-10 students competed in the KS4/5 category and placed 5^th out of 15 pieces. We scored a total of 188 points out of 200. The judges scored us full marks for creativity, complexity, formations, sync/timing, spacing/dynamics, strength/fluency & crowd appeal!

All the demanding work, dedication, resilience & sweaty rehearsals paid off. We are so unbelievably proud of our students, and we are so excited to enter the Great Big Dance Off competition again next year with both a KS3 and a KS4 team. Watch this space! Our next project we are working towards is the summer show.
