Kirklees Democracy Friendly Schools Project

Manor Croft Academy now has 18 fully trained Kirklees Youth Councillors. They have spent two days working with Michelle Ross from Kirklees Democracy Friendly Schools learning about local democracy, developing personal skills, debating issues, and considering ways in which they can become active citizens.

The students enjoyed being involved in the project and are looking forward to developing their roles as Youth Councillors.
