Learn With the Lords –  Visit from Lord Best

On Friday 7th November, Manor Croft Academy was delighted to welcome Lord Best for an engaging and insightful visit. Lord Best spoke to our students about the role of the House of Lords within the UK’s Parliamentary system, offering a fascinating look at how laws are discussed and developed. He shared his personal story of how he became a member of the House of Lords and discussed the key areas of public policy and law-making in which he has been particularly involved.

Our students impressed Lord Best with their thoughtful and intelligent questions, sparking lively discussion and deepening their understanding of how Parliament shapes the country we live in. It was a truly inspiring opportunity to learn first-hand from someone with such extensive experience in public service.
