Ofsted Inspection Report

Following the recent inspection on 8th and 9th November 2022, we have now received the final report from OFSTED.

We are delighted to be able to share with you that the overall effectiveness of the school has been graded ‘Good’, with Leadership and Management once again judged as ‘Outstanding’. 

I am very pleased that all the hard work of staff, students and our whole academy community has been recognised in this way and would like to thank all those who took part in the inspection, whether in person or via Student and Parent Voice submissions. 

We are delighted that the inspectors recognised the aspirational and inspirational nature of Manor Croft Academy.     The Inspectors report that:

  • Staff are united in their commitment that every pupil will succeed. This ambition is realised.
  • Pupils are supported at every turn in this inclusive school. They are ready for their next steps.
  • Pupils benefit from a broad and knowledge-rich curriculum.
  • Leaders’ high ambitions for academic excellence are reflected in their universally high expectations for behaviour and attendance.
  • There are warm and supportive relationships between staff and pupils.
  • Leaders are rightly proud of the ambitious next steps that many pupils take after leaving school

The report itself is more detailed and highlights the many elements of highly effective provision at the Academy as well as the next steps needed to take the Academy forward.  The associated actions have already been incorporated into our development plans for the Academy.  

We could not have achieved this judgement without parental support, our amazing students, the Academy Advisory Body, and a hugely dedicated staff team.  The hard work and commitment from our whole Academy community is what makes Manor Croft Academy such an inspiring place to learn, work and succeed.
