Remembrance Day
Today at Manor Croft we all observed the two minutes silence to mark the exact time that the hostilities ceased in 1918 – the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Assemblies this week have been delivered by the Head of Humanities, Mr Walton, to discuss what Remembrance Day is about, and why it is important to mark this day. The significance of the poppy has been shared and developed through our extracurricular clubs of art and textiles. Students have made beautiful, giant poppies to decorate where we lay our wreath every year.
