Speaker’s Trust – Oracy Workshop

At Manor Croft, we believe that all students should be able to communicate in a confident and passionate manner. We welcomed The Speakers Trust into the academy for 2 oracy workshops. Students were able to work on their public speaking skills and by the end of the session they delivered eloquent speeches in front of their peers and SLT. Students chose topics such as mental health, eating disorders, social media influencers and pollution. Gareth, who ran the workshop, described being in the academy as a ‘privilege’.
