Y10 Wakefield College Trip

On Thursday 30th June, all of our year 10s went out to the two sites for Wakefield College, Wakefield City Centre and Castleford Campus. Students had pre-selected taster sessions for courses that link to their future career choices and aspirations, based on guidance from our dedicated careers team. Students enjoyed a range of session, including A-Level courses and vocational subjects.

The students that went to Castleford College for their taster day got the chance to do a variety of hands-on practical sessions, including bricklaying, hairdressing, hair and beauty and engineering. This has given students a real insight into the world of work and possible career paths that they may choose to develop further when they leave for Post-16. All students on the trip were a credit to the Academy!
