Kion Nikoumaram
Kion’s career in education began teaching GCSE and A-level physics at a comprehensive school in a diverse community in Bradford. He subsequently moved to Manor Croft Academy, initially to lead the science department. He quickly moved into a role as Assistant Principal responsible for developing the school’s cultural capital. He played a key role in the senior leadership team as the academy was transformed from an underperforming school with below average outcomes to one of the highest performing secondary schools in the north of England.
Kion is now Principal, he is passionate about ensuring that students leave Manor Croft with an outstanding set of academic results, whilst gaining the skills and qualities required to play an active, purposeful role in their community. To do that the curriculum has been designed to be ambitious, yet reflects the background and experiences of the students it serves.
